Parenting & Practice:
If you are a parent and a Yoga practitioner, this lecture is for you! Many people have a very difficult time finding time in their schedule to start or maintain a daily practice, especially parents, and especially parents who work full time. Join Krista for an afternoon discussion on how you can fit it all in! Krista is a parent, level 2 authorized by the Krishna Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute, owner of The Yoga Shala, and has worked with Jois Foundation for Health and Wellness for Children teaching 1st-8th grade children Yoga and developed Yoga andhealth education curriculum for elementary and middle school grade levels. As a full time mom, authorized teacher, daily Ashtanga practitioner, and businesswoman, Krista can truly help you figure out how to carve out time for you and your practice while still being a great full time parent, professional, and partner. 2 hours.

Led Primary Series:
This traditional sanskrit counted class will explore the fundamentals of the Ashtanga Yoga Method in a led/guided classroom setting. The Vinyasa system, expanding the breath, and the principles of the bandhas and drishti.


5/27 Saturday 1:00 - 4:00pm
Milestones of the Primary Series:
Spend the afternoon with Krista breaking down the asanas of the primary. Learn the correct form and purpose of each posture in the primary series. Students will also learn lots of tips on how to work toward mastery of some of the more difficult postures such as Marichyasana B and D, Bhujapidasana, and Supta Kurmasana. This session will help you in your efforts to master Yoga Chikitsa. Educational and eye opening for students of all levels! Will begin and end with chanting. 3 hours

Led Primary Series:

Jumping Through & Jumping Back:
Want to learn how to safely and gracefully execute vinyasas? We will explore using the bandhas, the lats, the core, body positioning, breathing,
hands, head position and the pelvis in order to paint a full portrait of the art of jumping back and jumping through. The key to jump backs and jump throughs isn’t momentum, it isn’t about the length of your arms or the amount you weigh! Spend the afternoon with Krista learning how to skillfully jump back and through. Suitable for all levels. 2 hours.
